Mr. El-Shahat Ghatwary, commissioner of the Customs Authority, meets with a high-level Libyan delegation in the presence of the Consul General of the State of Libya in Alexandria, Mr. Saleh Khattab Al-Saadi, and Mr. Saleh Al-Obaidi, President of the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the President of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria, a number of members of the Libyan Chambers of Commerce and industry and the Alexandria Chamber, and the highly-positioned members of the Libyan and Egyptian customs, where His Excellency stressed the keenness to provide all possible facilities for those dealing with the Customs Authority, whether importers, owners of goods, or their agents who are customs brokers, and to overcome any obstacles they may face; Which helps in reducing the time of customs clearance, and thus contributing to reducing the cost of goods and services to increase trade exchange between Egypt and Libya and increase joint cooperation to conquer foreign markets. Mr. Ahmed Al-Wakil, President of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria, indicated that Egypt has completed studies to establish an international  logistics center, next to the Salloum port in the Plateau region, not only with the aim of supporting intra-trade, but more importantly supporting the exports of our two countries to neighboring countries, which will grow with the re-operation of the Mediterranean international Road from Port Said to Casablanca, which is integrated and perpendicular to the Alexandria-Cape Town Road, and so it must be and we begin work on the pivotal road from southern Egypt through southern Libya to Chad to the landlocked countries in central Africa and from there to Dakar, to connect the Red Sea to the Atlantic Ocean.This meeting was under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
