More than EGP 48 m proceeds from the auction of left-out cars and goods Alexandria, Salloum, Suez and Sokhna customs.

In implementation of the presidential mandate to dispose of stagnant and left-out goods in all Egyptian ports, customs is getting rid of stagnant and abandoned goods inside the yards in Egyptian ports.

The public auction activities, cars as well as various left-out goods were launched on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Alexandria, Salloum, Suez as well as Sokhna customs.

The total proceeds of the sale reached (48,116,750) pounds only forty -eight million, sixteen thousand and seven hundred and fifty pounds.

 
Where the outcome of the sale of (19) Lot in the customs of Alexandria and Salloum amounted (36,467,800) pounds.

 
The outcome of the sale of (17) Lot in the customs of Suez and Sokhna amounted ((11,648,950) pounds.

 
It is worth noting that the sale is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 182 of 2018 regarding the regulation of contracts concluded by the public authorities and its executive regulations issued by Resolution 692 of 2019 and according to the arrangement contained in the brochure of conditions and purchasing the auction brochure, a condition for entering the auction and each of the Lot is sold separately and without a commission.

The licensing is also made for those who do the auction according to the Traffic Law No. 121 for the year 2008 and obtain a book from the passage of the port on which the auction was made and another book from the General Administration of car Customs and is directed to traffic unit through its residence for the license.

 
And all the cars sold as an licensed are not obliterated. The chassis number is obliterated under the supervision of the region and the delivery committee..and a report is made and signed by the representative of the entity and the buyer, and it is not permissible to extract any data about the car after the sale, all cars at customs (accidents - burned) are degraded and scrapped in accordance with the customs conditions and the customs committees sign on that.

With regard to lots sold for export, delivery shall take place no later than one month from the date of notification of the delivery date by the competent customs, with 1% calculated for each day of delay up to a maximum of seven days..and In the event of non-attendance and receipt, the same provisions shall apply to it, and customs goods sold for re-export shall be exported by sea or air and in accordance with the customs requirements at the time of export.
