Simplifying procedures for the import and transit of humanitarian relief items to support the people of Gaza. 

Mr/ El -Shahat Gatouri, Commissioner of the Customs Authority, openned an international workshop on simplifying the import and transit of humanitarian relief materials to support the residents of Gaza, which lasted for a period of 29 and 30 November 2023 under the auspices of the World Customs Organization, and the organization of the International logistical group (IMPACCT)) in cooperation with the Egyptian Customs Authority,

 
The symposium in the presence of representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Social Solidarity, Ministry of Health, Maritime Ports Authority, EgyptAir, Egyptian Red Crescent, United Nations organizations and NGOs,

The workshop aimed for several goals, the most important of which is:
Enhancing a common understanding of the response to the humanitarian conditions and challenges related to the import and transit of humanitarian relief materials to support Gaza residents.
Enhancing coordination between concerned government agencies with importing humanitarian relief materials.
Enhancing cooperation between government agencies and reliable organizations concerned with importing humanitarian relief materials, without costs to support Gaza residents.
Applying exceptional measures and measures to facilitate the import/transit of relief materials for Egypt.
