The arrival of the first group of #pilgrims: customs facilities and modern technologies to serve the Pilgrims.

The first group of lottery Pilgrims arrived at the Republic’s airports on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, where they were received with warmth and distinguished customs facilities, in implementation of the instructions of Dr. Mohamed Moait, Minister of Finance, and Mr. Al-Shahat Ghatouri. Head of the Customs Department. 

Today, Wednesday, June 19, Cairo International Airport will receive groups of Pilgrims on board 9 flights.

● The facilities provided to the Pilgrims include the following:
• Giving priority to the elderly and sick conditions: by allocating quick tracks to them to facilitate their passage and end their customs procedures as soon as possible.
• Take advantage of the mechanized customs systems to accelerate the customs clearance process on pilgrims' luggage.
• Increasing the numbers of customs officers in customs ports to reduce waiting and congestion time.
• The presence of customs ports managed permanently to supervise the workflow and ensure the speedy completion of the procedures.
The Customs Authority was keen to use the latest detection techniques to facilitate the inspection process without the need to open all luggage, through:
• Using non -interfering methods: Using advanced x -ray examination devices to inspect the luggage of Pilgrims without having to touch or open them manually.
• Rapid Inspection: The modern detection techniques contributed to the speedy mobilization of the inspection, which provided Pilgrims and effort on them.
●● The Customs Authority emphasizes the need to take care and caution with the speed of facilitating the movement of Pilgrims, with the realization of customs censorship to the fullest extent.
●● These efforts come within the framework of the Minister of Finance and the Egyptian Customs Authority to provide better service to Pilgrims and facilitate Performing Hajj.
