Through various decisions, the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Authority aim to reduce the presence of left-out goods in ports, whether sea, land or air, with the aim of customs ports being exit ports for goods and not storage for them, in implementation of the presidential mandate to get rid of stagnant and left-out goods in all Egyptian ports.
 
On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, the public auction activities began to sell a number of lots of cars and various goods to the customs offices of Ain Sokhna - Safaga - Suez - Luxor. It is worth noting that the cars and goods that the auction session was held to sell are from customs authority concessions and confiscations imported from abroad, as the sale was made in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 182 of 2018 regarding regulating contracts concluded by public authorities and its executive regulations issued by decision No. 692 of 2019 and in accordance with the arrangement contained in the terms and conditions brochoure and purchasing the auction brochoure is a condition for entering the auction and each lot is sold separately and without commission, and in the event that no lot is awarded Of the cars owned by the participant in the auction, the insurance will be refunded, and the insurance will be deducted from the lot price in the event that the participant wins.
 
The total of today's public auction for the sale of left-out lots to Ain Sokhna - Safaga - Suez - Luxor Customs was 41 million and 679 thousand and 500 pounds.
 
It is divided as follows:
 ● Ain Sokhna Customs, 12 lots, 30 million, 907,500 pounds
 ● Safaga Customs, 13 lots sold, 9,468,000 pounds
 ● Suez Customs, 4 lots sold, 1,270,000 pounds
 ● Luxor Customs, one lot sold. 34 thousand pounds
