Egyptian Customs signs a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute for Intellectual Property - Helwan University.

Mr. El -Shahat Gutouri, head of the Egyptian Customs Authority, and Dr. Qandil, President of Helwan University, signed a joint memorandum of understanding with the aim of achieving joint cooperation between the two sides.

According to the joint memorandum of understanding, the National Institute of Intellectual Property at Helwan University provides specialized training courses and specialized postgraduate programs in various branches of intellectual property for Customs Authority Officials, to allow them to develop their knowledge and experience with the issues and problems of protecting and exploiting intellectual property rights from a legal and economic perspective, and to seek the assistance of Customs Authority lecturers in delivering training or teaching lectures in common fields, and to seek the assistance of doctoral holders among them in supervising the discussion of scientific theses in accordance with Provisions of the Universities Organization Law and its executive regulations.

The National Institute for Customs Training in the Customs Authority will hold training programs in conjunction with the National Institute of Intellectual Property in all relevant topics for building human capabilities, and the customs institute provides practical, theoretical and technical training opportunities for employees of Helwan University and organizing scientific visits to visit customs, and the customs training institute also uses faculty members from Helwan University to give training lectures in various fields.
