They are keen to increase the investments of the Hinduja Indian Group in various investment fields, especially the increase in hotel energy in Egypt.

Dr. Mohamed Moait, the Minister of Finance, held a bilateral meeting with Brakash Hinduja, Chairman of the Hindua Indian Group, on the sidelines of their participation in the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington.
Dr. Mohamed Moait, Minister of Finance, said that we are keen to cooperate with the "Hinduja Indian Group" to localize the electric car industry and technological industries in Egypt; As one of the major leading companies in the electric car industry for many years, as well as its record of achievements in multiple fields such as: “The manufacture of oils, chemicals, banks, finance, communications, media, real estate development, and health care.”

The minister stressed that we are keen to increase the investments of the "Hinduja Indian Group" in various investment fields, especially the increase in hotel energy in Egypt, and to attract more Indian investments to Egypt; To learn about the promising investment opportunities available, in addition to the smart and advanced infrastructure, the legislative environment that attracts foreign investments, and the facilitated procedures that contribute to accelerating the pace of the implementation of productive and investment projects.

The Minister, Brakash Hinduja, Chairman of the Indian Gindga Group, called for the establishment of Hinduja Global Solichon in Egypt specialized in the field of information technology, noting that Egypt over the past decade succeeded in creating a boom in digital transformation projects, and increasing dependence on applications and solutions of artificial intelligence in various sectors of the government, and seeks during the coming period to continue the process of developing specialized industries in the field of information technology; as one of the tributaries of economic development, to improve the business climate and motivate investors.

The minister explained that the world is moving at a rapid pace towards the electric cars industry in a way that contributes to reducing climate change, pointing out that we are seeking to transfer the technological experiences of the electric car industry to the companies of "Hinduja Indian Group" to Egypt during the coming period through the establishment of a factory that reaches a production capacity of 6000 cars in the field of electric cars in cooperation with Al -Nasr Automobile Industry Company, stressing that we have the ingredients, capabilities and a distinctive strategic site that qualifies us to become a regional center for the manufacture and export of cars, buses and electric trucks. 

The minister said that the amendments to some of the customs tariff items, which were approved two years ago, confirm Egypt's keenness to localize the electric car industry in Egypt, and the development of clean energy, as it includes the collection of customs tax by only 2 % of the value or the incoming tax prescribed, whichever is less on what is imported among the equipment of the preparation for vehicle supplies with electricity or natural gas, components of vehicles to work with electricity or natural gas, environmental monitoring equipment and their spare parts, as well as what factories licensed to produce electrical buses from batteries, electric motors, control units, auxiliary systems, steering units and monitoring units, imported Cooling batteries and air conditioners, as they were in items of more than 30 %.
