17 September Egyptian Customs receives a high-level delegation from Chinese Customs Within the framework of the interest of the political leadership and the Egyptian government in supporting the development of cooperation mechanisms with the Chinese side, Mr. El-Shahat Ghatouri, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Commissionier of the Customs Authority, received the Chinese Deputy Minister of Customs, Wang Lingjun, and his accompanying delegation, within the framework of reactivating the Mutual Administrative Assistance Agreement in customs matters, which was signed in 2009 and also strengthening cooperation in many areas of customs work. The visit began with a welcoming meeting for the Chinese delegation in the meeting room of the Customs Authority building in the new Administrative Capital and the meeting discussed the measures and methods taken by the Egyptian state, represented by the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Authority, in order to reduce the release time and the mechanisms for facilitating trade in Egyptian ports by establishing customs legislation, as well as the establishment of Nafza platform that linked all parties working with customs, as well as facilitating customs procedures. In the same context, Mr. Wang Lingjun, Deputy Minister of Chinese Customs, expressed how happy he was with the warm reception and explained that he seeks more cooperation between Chinese customs and Egyptian customs. -The next day, the Chinese delegation moved to a field visit to the port of Alexandria. They were received by a high-ranking delegation from the administrative directors in Alexandria. The visit began with a meeting with the Chinese delegation. Then the Chinese delegation moved, accompanied by the Egyptian customs delegation, to the Tahya Misr multi-purpose station in Alexandria to learn about the followed customs procedures and special mechanisms of facilitating trade in Egyptian ports.
