Mr. El-Shahat Ghatouri, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and Commissionier of the Customs Authority, opened a workshop on training on rules of origin for the Egyptian Customs Authority in accordance with the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement, funded by the European Union and World Customs Organization Program on Rules of Origin in Africa in Cairo, which will last during the period from 3 to September 7, 2023. This workshop aims to identify the application of the rules of origin in the African Continental Free Trade Area, as well as review all procedural aspects related to supply chains, as well as certificates of origin, with the participation of various departments from the Customs Authority, the Ministry of Commerce, representatives of the private sector, and experts from the General Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area and the related regional economic communities.
