Ahmed Kajuk, the new finance minister, expressed in his first statements after his constitutional oath, his great appreciation for the confidence of the political leadership that all drives us to double our efforts with the work team at the Ministry of Finance; To establish economic stability pillars, build a more flexible and sustainable economic future, and also more capable of achieving economic and development targets, improving the standard of living of citizens and upgrading the services provided to them, pointing out that financial policies translate the presidential priorities and government work program during the next stage.

The new Finance Minister said that, in implementation of the presidential assignments, we will do everything we can to alleviate the living burdens of citizens during the actual implementation of the state’s general budget in the new fiscal year, where we are working to expand social protection with more targeting programs for those who are entitled to support in the face of inflation.
Kajuk added that the structural reform path for the Egyptian economy will continue to stimulate the growth of the private sector and increase its contribution and its role in economic activity as the locomotive of comprehensive and sustainable development, and we are working to advance the initiatives to encourage production and export, maximize the local component in the industry and enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian products.

The new Finance Minister indicated that building the Egyptian person leads the priorities of public spending, especially in the areas of health and education, in a way that contributes to achieving human development, as it is a basic pillar of progress, development and advancement in various other development sectors.
