The Cabinet approved the extension of Prime Minister’s Decrcee No. 1801 of 2023, regarding exemptions for imports of gold in other semi-worked forms intended for cash circulation, ornaments and jewelery and their parts from other precious metals, even if they are coated or clad with a veneer of precious metals, arriving at customs ports accompanied by passengers arriving from outside the country from customs tax and other fees, except for the value-added tax, for a period of 6 months ending on 10/5/2024, due to the positive impact it has generated in an attempt to control the markets and restore stability and balance to prices.
