Dr. / Mohamed Moait, Minister of Finance, affirmed the continuation of work with all the concerned authorities of the country to immediately release the basic commodities and production requirements.
The total value of the released goods since the beginning of last April has reached $ 17 billion.
This comes within the framework of the Egyptian government's keenness on:
● Increasing the volume of commodity supply in the markets.
● Achieving a balance in prices.
● Reducing the burdens of living for citizens.

The efforts made:
● A permanent coordination between customs officers and representatives of the various concerned authorities.
● accelerate immediate release procedures for commodities and goods in all ports.
● Giving priority to basic and food commodities, medicines, fodder and production requirements.
Mr. Al -Shahat Gutouri, head of the Customs Authority, also stressed that modern electronic systems contribute greatly to accelerating the pace of customs release of commodities and goods and their arrival in local markets and production units.
Working all the time around the customs ports with the various concerned authorities, especially with regard to exports, to ensure the speedy completion of the procedures for immediate release of the goods.
These efforts are an important step to alleviate the global economic crisis and its implications for the Egyptian market.
It aims to provide basic commodities at reasonable prices for citizens, and to support the industrial sector by providing the necessary production requirements.
