Egyptian customs expect a cooperation protocol with the economy of the Suez Canal to develop and automate customs services
Within the framework of the state's strategy towards the digital transformation, the Egyptian Customs Authority signed a cooperation protocol with the General Authority of the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, with the aim of providing the integrated mechanization system for the logistical center of the Suez Canal economy and its projects.
This protocol aims to:
● Developing the technological infrastructure of the logistical center.
● Electing all customs services provided in the center.
● Facilitating customs procedures for investors.
● accelerating customs clearance operations.
● Enhancing integration between the Customs Authority and the economic zone of the Suez Canal.
The protocol, Mr. Al -Shahat Gutouri, head of the Egyptian Customs Authority and Mr. / Walid Jamal Al -Din, head of the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal .
Mr. Al -Shahat Gutouri stressed that the Egyptian Customs Authority is making unremitting efforts in the field of digitization of services, as part of its endeavor to facilitate proceduers to producers and investors, with the aim of simplifying procedures and reducing the time of customs release.
