■■ Dr. Mohamed Moait, Minister of Finance, issued important guidlines to facilitate customs procedures for the pilgrims during the current Hajj season.
The guidlines included the following:
● Giving a special priority to the elderly and sick conditions of pilgrims in ending their customs procedures.
● Take advantage of the mechanized customs systems and radiology devices to accelerate the customs clearance process.
● Increasing the number of customs officers in the ports halls all the time in conjunction with the pilgrims' return trips.
● Properties of customs outlets are constantly at airports and marine ride stations to quickly finish procedures and release luggage.
■■ Dr. Mohamed Moait praised the efforts of customs officers in facilitating the procedures of passengers and customs release of their luggage, with the optimal exploitation of modern technology.
These directives aim to:
● Avoid congestion and reduce the time of waiting for pilgrims at customs ports.
